Vijay Baitha (30), the only son of Harihar Baitha, resident of Dipahi village, asked for Rs 500 from his mother Ramkali Devi (56). He was already intoxicated. When the mother refused that she would not give money… she stabbed her mother with a knife. After the continuous attack, when she started shouting, people gathered around.

people admitted the injured Ramkali Devi to a private nursing home for treatment. Seeing the villagers there, Vijay started running away. The villagers grabbed him and tied him with a rope. Then Chiraiya informed the police. Ramkali Devi died during treatment. Police reached the spot and took Vijay Baitha into custody and took him to the police station. At the same time, Ramkali’s body was sent for postmortem.
