Agriculture Department's Budget Of Rs 3446.45 Crore Passed In Bihar Assembly, Three Times Increase In Food Grain Production

State Bureau, Patna. On Friday, the budget of Agriculture Department worth Rs 3446 crore 45 lakh 26 thousand was passed in the Bihar Assembly. After this, Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav has said that to realize the immense potential of agricultural development in Bihar, work is being done in a planned manner through the Agriculture Road Map since 2008.

At present, the successful implementation of the Fourth Agricultural Road Map (2023-28) is going on. This has led to rapid development of agriculture. A significant increase has been recorded in agricultural production and productivity.

He said that mainly rice, wheat, maize, pulses and oilseed crops are cultivated in the state and the food grain production has increased more than three times as compared to the year 2005. In the current financial year 2025-26, schemes worth Rs 3272.83 crore are being implemented by the Agriculture Department.

On Friday, the budget of Rs 2469 crore 35 lakh 12 thousand of Public Health Engineering Department, Rs 1379 crore 57 lakh 70 thousand of Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department and Rs 290 crore 43 lakh 53 thousand of Information Technology Department was also passed in the House.
