Police of Azamgarh district arrested two accused smuggling cannabis. When the police tried to stop the vehicle during checking near Barathipur Tirahe, the police of Tarwan police station in the district tried to drive away the car. After which the police laid siege and ran the accused. More than 40 kg of cannabis was recovered after searching the accused and the car. One of the two accused is a resident of Raju Gupta Devgaon police station, while the other is a resident of Triveni Gupta alias Jhingari Bazaar Devgaon. In -charge of Basantlal said that the arrested accused do business of cannabis. And was going by his WagonR car to sell cannabis. The accused Raju has been closed at Patherwa police station in Kushinagar in the past and action has been taken on the accused under gangster but has not yet appeared. Raju has been arrested earlier by STF and NCB. Five serious criminal cases are already registered against accused Raju and two on Triveni. The accused are being sent to court from where they will be sent to jail.
