Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Sunita Devi, accused in the drawing master paper leak case. On looking at the record related to the investigation of the case so far, Judge Jyotsna Rival Dua said that it is necessary to interrogate Sunita Devi in custody to disclose the entire paper leak case. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the court said that the investigation is still in the first stage.
The court said that the involvement of other people in the case cannot be ruled out. Such crimes affect the future of millions of candidates. Therefore, it is necessary to interrogate the applicant by keeping the applicant in custody to get to the bottom of the whole case.
According to the case filed against Sunita Devi, Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission has passed the post code 980 drawing master’s examination A case has been registered against Sunita Devi. FIR has been registered against the applicant under Section 420,467 and 468 of IPC in Vigilance Hamirpur and Section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. In the investigation of the SIT formed to investigate the case, the disturbance in drawing master recruitment was also confirmed. The Commission issued a notification on 24 May 2022 to fill 314 posts of drawing master recruitment under Post Code 980. After the retrenchment examination, 971 candidates were selected from 16 to 22 December 2022 to check the documents.
