Digital Desk, Indore. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Tanda Barud police station area of Khargone district. A 60-year-old elderly woman died after being raped in an area located about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters. In this case, the police have taken a minor accused into custody and presented him in the juvenile court.
According to the police, the woman was sleeping in her house on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the accused entered the house and forcibly took her to a nearby field. There the woman was raped and the accused fled leaving her in a critical condition in the field.
After the incident, the family members reached the fields in search of the woman, where she was found in an unconscious state. He was immediately taken to Khargone District Hospital, but he died after about two hours during treatment in the ICU. A panel of doctors has conducted the post-mortem. Initial reports have revealed complications related to multiple organs, although the final opinion is yet to come. According to the police, the accused is said to be a relative of the deceased.

verification of minor's age
Khargone SDOP Rohit Lakhare said that a minor has been taken into custody in the case and documents related to his age have been sought. The cause of death is being thoroughly investigated based on the points of the post-mortem report.
At the same time, the family members of the accused have alleged the involvement of another minor during interrogation, which has been rejected by the police at present. Police say that the investigation of the case is going on from every aspect.
