Manoj Tiwari lodged a complaint against the fake Facebook account in Sansad Marg police station of New Delhi district.

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. BJP MP from North-East Lok Sabha constituency Manoj Tiwari has filed a complaint against the fake Facebook account at Sansad Marg police station in New Delhi district. MP, also a popular Bhojpuri singer and actor.

In a post on X on Saturday, he said that he has already filed a complaint against the fake ID, yet surprisingly the account is still active. A video strongly criticizing the UGC rules and a photo of the MP has been posted from that fake Facebook ID.

Tiwari said in his post that some unknown person is running a fake Facebook ID in his name as part of a conspiracy. There is a blue tick on his real Facebook ID. He had lodged a complaint with the police on January 22, yet the fake ID is active and the person using it has not been caught. They have demanded the police to arrest that person. The University Grants Commission's rules regarding discrimination against SC, ST and OBC students in higher educational institutions were recently put on hold by the Supreme Court due to protests against them and fears that they could be misused against the general category of people.

It was alleged that these new rules, ostensibly brought in the name of equality in higher educational institutions, would put general category students in a situation where they would not be able to defend themselves.
