Online Registration Is Now Mandatory For Entry Into Amrit Udyan, What Is The New Rule

Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. The gates of Amrit Udyan located at Rashtrapati Bhavan will open for general tourists from Monday. This time, tourists will be welcomed with new species of flowers in this garden which encompasses natural beauty and historical heritage.

This time, the President's Park Administration has made a major change in the entry rules of tourists in view of security and order. This year tourists will not get the facility of on-the-spot registration at the gate of Rashtrapati Bhavan. However, the President will inaugurate Amrit Udyan on Sunday. After this the garden will remain open for tourists from February 3 to March 31. According to the new rules, tourists will have to book their slot on a time basis by visiting the official website of Rashtrapati Bhavan (visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in) at least a day before their visit by 10 am. Tourists will be prohibited from entering Amrit Udyan without prior registration. While a maximum of 6 people can enter on one booking and 50 students for school groups.

This year, 85 types of tulips and 145 types of roses will spread their fragrance in the garden. Along with special roses like Arjun, Bhim, Ashwini and Samarasno, tourists will also get to see about 45 years old bonsai. This time technology has been used to share information about plants. A QR code has been installed near every rose, after scanning which the tourists will be able to know about the origin and characteristics of that flower. Free bus service from the metro. For the convenience of the tourists, a free bus service will be operated every 30 minutes from the Central Secretariat Metro Station to the entrance of the garden. Also, permission has been given to carry mobile phones and water bottles inside the premises.

Amrit Udyan will be open six days a week from 9.30 am to 6 pm and the last entry will be till 4 pm. Will be closed every Monday for maintenance. Tourists coming here, along with seeing various roses in the garden, can also be a part of the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum and the Change of Guard Ceremony to be held on Saturday.
