For The First Time, Army's Animal Contingent Will Show Tricks On Republic Day, Camels, Horses And Hunter Birds Will Be Included In The Parade.
This year, the animal contingent of the Indian Army will march on the duty path for the first time on Republic Day. This will include two Bactrian camels, four Zanskar ponies, four birds of prey and 16 military dogs. This contingent will highlight the important role of animals in protecting the challenging borders of the country. Camels assist in logistics in Ladakh, ponies in patrolling in Siachen and dogs in various operations, reflecting the tradition and innovation of the Army.
