According to information received from the Water Resources Department, 2 lakh 70 thousand cusecs of water was discharged on Monday. After this, 2 lakh 67 thousand cusecs and later 2 lakh 54 thousand cusecs of water were released. The water level will continue to increase for the next 24 hours. He further stated that the water released on Monday will enter the border of Panapur by late Tuesday night. Therefore, people need to be careful.

Chandrashekhar Kumar, Junior Engineer of Water Resources Department, said that sand -filled bags are available in sufficient number. The Saran embankment is being constantly monitored. At the same time, the local police administration and the personnel of the zonal office have also been asked to continuously monitor the Saran embankment. Earlier on Saturday night, the administration led by CO Abhijeet Kumar had advised people to be safe and conscious in villages like Prithvipur, Basahiya, Sonvarsha, Rampurudra, etc., settled in the low -lying areas of the Gandak river.
