Actress Shalini Pandey spoke about the rape scene in ‘Maharaj’: Was worried about this scene, the character also looked stupid

Shalini Pandey appeared on screen for the first time in the film Arjun Reddy. Shalini appeared in the recently released film ‘Maharaj’ alongside Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharawari Wagh. Shalini talked about the rape scene of the film during an interview. In this scene, Shalini is forced to have sex with Jadunath Maharaj, a character played by Jaideep.

Shalini said- She was very upset in doing this scene. When he first read his scene, he felt that his character belonged to a ‘stupid’ girl. But later he realized that the girl had no idea about the right wrong. She later believed that what she was doing is fine.

In the film, Jaideep has been seen playing the role of Baba of the 1800s, who has created a myth around him, in which Young women are assured that they have to present themselves in front of them in a ceremony called ‘Charan Seva’. He has assured them that the rape by Baba is sacred to him. On the other hand, the society has closed eyes even while looking at it.

Shalini said with Bollywood Hungama- When I did a ‘Charan Seva’ scene with Maharaj, I did not realize that it What is the effect on me, because I did the scene and suddenly, I went out. I told my team that I do not want to stay in a closed room, I want time, I want some fresh air, I am getting a little restless. But later I understood the character properly.

Shalini Pandey was seen in Ranveer Singh’s film Jayeshbhai Jayeshbhai Jayeshbhai, released in the year 2022. In this film, Shalini played Jayesh’s wife Mudra, who again becomes pregnant after the birth of a daughter. Earlier, she had made her Bollywood debut with the film Meri Nimmo, which was released in the year 2018.
