Awareness for family planning

A campaign will be launched by the Health Department to bring awareness among people about population stabilization and to ensure availability of permanent and temporary means of family planning. The preparations for this have been completed. Where today i.e. from 27 June to 10 July, health workers will contact the couples by organizing Community Utreen Pakhwara and encouraged them to inform and adopt family planning related services. On July 11, World Population Day will be organized.

Population stability fortnight will be organized from this day to 31 July. The theme of Population Stability Pakhwada is “the new identity of developed India, the pride of every couple” family planning. During this, the Medical Officer in -charge Dr. Abhay Kumar informed that necessary instructions have been given through the Regional Additional Director, Health Department. The instructions stated that due to non -availability of family planning services, any increase in unwanted pregnancies may have a significant impact on maternal mortality and newborn health. Mainly modern, short and long -working contraceptive, permanent measures, including emergency contraception and consultation services are to be focused on. In the direction of population stabilization, information will be encouraged to use various options of family planning among the common people.

Antara injections can be used for family planning on three months. The needle can be taken again between at least 75 days or at least 120 days of taking the first needle. Breastfeeding women can also take it. This does not affect the amount and quality of mother’s milk. So it is safe for breastfeeding women. It can be used only six weeks after delivery. Apart from this, shadow contraceptive pill can also be taken. It is a safe contraceptive pill and does not have any type of hormone.
