Devendra Singh is a senior assistant in the District Basic Education Officer’s Office of Hathras. He was seeking a bribe of Rs 30,000 from an assistant teacher Siddharth Kumar for the salary of suspension period, salary increase and removal of adverse entry. He said that 25 thousand rupees are for BSA Upendra Gupta and he will keep 5 thousand rupees himself. Assistant teacher Siddharth Kumar had complained to Vigilance Agra.

According to planning, Siddharth Kumar reached the BSA office with 30 thousand rupees. Devendra Singh also came there. Vigilance’s team was already present there. As soon as Siddharth gave the money to Devendra, the Vigilance team caught Devendra red handed taking bribe and grabbed him and took him to Agra. A case has been filed against Devendra in Vigilance Agra.
