Bhopal Metro Project: Metro was to be started by 2022 on both 27 km route; 2100 crores spent, only 26% work was done

Now to complete the new deadline of 2027, you will have to increase 6 times the existing speed of work

If the work goes on at the current speed, then the metro will take 24 years

Assembly elections in the year 2018 The Bhopal and Indore projects were approved by the Center in October 2018 just before October 2018. It was then said that it was to be completed in four years i.e. in 2022. Talking about Bhopal Metro, in these four years, the Metro should have started operating on both AIIMS to AIIMS and Bhadbhada to Ratnigiri. But by June 2024, the situation is that only 25.93% work has been done after spending 2100 crores. Civil work is 14.12% and the work of systems is 11.81%. That is, only one quarter in 6 years. Now the new deadline is 2027.

i.e. three quarters will have to be done in three years. For this, the speed of work will have to be 6 times so that a quarter of the work can be completed every year. And if the speed of work is the same, it will take 24 years to complete. This has been revealed in the review done by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for the progress of the metro project. /P>

Metro’s first task started in 2018. The construction of 6.22 km from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS is still incomplete. The steel bridge that is being constructed at Habibganj crossing at this time is actually part of this via duct. The deadline of commercial runs from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS has now been reduced to December 2024. In this part, the work of the system along with civil work is also incomplete. In the civil work that is incomplete, there is a track work left with ramp, tunnel, station and depot with via duct. 6 elevated and 2 underground stations are to be built in 9.74 km from Subhash Nagar to Karond. December 2027 is deadline. Contracts for station construction have been signed in March. But the work did not start. On this route, 3.95 acres of saw machine, 1.97 acres near Bhopal station, 2.71 acres on Nadra bus stand and 3.95 acres on Bada Bagh i.e. a total of 12.60 acres of land is stuck.
