Wazir Singh, the husband of the deceased woman in the civil hospital, said that he was cleaning the tracks of Butana Branch Canal under MNREGA. His wife Kamlesh was also involved in this work. Kamlesh was doing cleanliness work that during this time her leg slipped and she rolled into the happy river. There was a scream while rolling from Kamlesh’s mouth. Hearing the voice of the screams, he and the workers working around picked up Kamlesh and brought Safidon’s civil hospital.

Doctors at the hospital examined him and declared him dead. On receiving information about the case, the police reached the spot and got the postmortem of the body and handed it over to the family. Met Mithun of MNREGA said that for the last 25 days, the work of cleaning the bottle was going on in the Butana Branch Canal. The work was towards the conclusion but suddenly Kamlesh fell into the canal. Which was immediately brought to the Civil Hospital of Safidon, where doctors declared him dead. The incident has been reported to ABPO and BDPO. Village sarpanch representative Rajendra said that Kamlesh’s family is very poor and is working hard.
