After the terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir recently, the atmosphere is undoubtedly peaceful, but the number of devotees visiting Mata Vaishno Devi has reduced considerably.

According to the Shrine Board, first About 50 to 55 thousand devotees used to come to the court of Mother daily. Now the number of devotees has come down from 25 to 30 thousand for a few days. Every day only 25 thousand devotees are reaching the court of Mother.

Now Amarnath Yatra is going to start from June 29. The first batch of pilgrims will reach Kashmir today. In such a situation, the government has made adequate security arrangements regarding the journey. Police and paramilitary forces are deployed on the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway in Pathankot. CCTV cameras have also been installed on the entire route this time, so that every activity can be closely monitored. Security has been increased on the routes leading to Mata Vaishno Devi. Despite this, there is still fear among the people. However, the government and the Shrine Board are repeatedly appealed that devotees coming to the court of Mother should come without any fear.

The number of devotees in Katra is halved Before leaving, we reach Katra, from where the 14 km long climb to the court of the mother begins. By the first week of June, the number of devotees in Katra and Durbar had increased so much that the Shrine Board had to close the travel slip counter for 2 days. Now the situation is that the number of devotees coming to the court of Mother has come down to half. So with the decrease in the number of devotees, the faces of the shopkeepers are also disappointed. Shopkeepers Vijay Kumar and Manoj said that after the terrorist attacks, the number of devotees coming to the court has reduced considerably. People coming for shopping are also not coming. Due to holidays in the month of June, lakhs of devotees used to come every year, but this time people are scared due to terrorist attacks in early June.

Devotees come from many states for Amarnath Yatra

Every year for the Amarnath Yatra, devotees from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states come to Amarnath to visit Baba Barfani. The government is also appealing to the devotees visiting the Amarnath Yatra and Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra that the security force is fully prepared for your safety in the valley. Apart from this, devotees are also being advised to take precautions.
