Drug department seized 50 thousand medicines from Tarn Taran’s medical stores

Bhaskar News | Checking was done at the Sidhu Medical Store of the population Kot Meet Singh on Tarn Taran Road led by Drug Inspector Ramnik Singh and police team SI Jasbir Singh. During checking, drug formulations like pregabalin and gabapantin etc. were found in stock for sale and distribution.

stores failed to present the records related to purchase and sales. The team seized 13 types of medicines under Section 16 of the Drug and Cosmetic Act. 3 types of drugs pregabaline, 2 types of drugs included gabapantin.

Along with this, they were kept for sale even after expiry of 3 types of drugs. The total cost of the seized medicines is about 50 thousand rupees. Officials of the drug department said that whatever medical stores are negligent in the sale of medicines and playing with the health of the people.
