The exercise to make Ratapani Sanctuary a tiger reserve has been going on for about one and a half decades. The number of tigers and leopards in the forest areas of the district is increasing rapidly. Currently there are 20 tigers and more than 350 leopards in the forests of the district. About eight villages are being included in it. It is the villages under the forest area Budhni, Virpur Range, Forest Circle Rehti and Sehore Range. This village is attached to Ratpani Century. Other villages including Rabiabad Kathotia, Sevenia Parihar, Rawakhedi, Sarash, Chikalpani, Lohapathar can be added to the core areas.
