Vyas told that Shri Krishna married Rukmani ji because Rukmani ji’s elder brother Rukmi wanted to force him to Shishupala. But Rukmani ji was in love with Lord Krishna, when Krishna came to know about this, Krishna married Rukmani ji.

Shri Krishna killed Rukmani from a temple. The name of this temple is Avantika Devi Temple.
