Kanchanjunga Express reached Sealdah late at night: 7 trains cancell on the accident route, divert 37 trains; Officers will investigate the accident on June 19

A goods train hit Kanchanjunga Express (13174) from behind in Darjeeling, West Bengal at 8:55 am on June 17. According to the railway, 9 people died in this accident, while 41 passengers were injured.

Kanchanjunga train reached Sealdah at around 3.15 pm after passing the fitness test. However, due to the accident, 7 trains going from this route were canceled. While the route of 37 trains has been diverted.

On the other hand, the Northeast Frontier Railway has ordered the inquiry on June 19 to find out the cause of the accident. These investigations will be done in the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety Janak Garg Adrm Chamber.
