Municipal corporation will do drainage from pumpset in 24 hours due to water logging

On this, a meeting was held on Sunday to maintain effective control over water logging in the meeting hall of the Municipal Corporation Office under the chairmanship of Mayor Vibha Kumari.

In the meeting, the Mayor also admitted that water logging is our biggest The problem is and its permanent diagnosis is the Storm Water Drainage System. Although it has been almost a year since the store drainage system in the city was approved, it has not been completed even after one year due to the hurdle of funds etc. The Mayor currently consulted with everyone on the option of drainage. For this, suggestions were also taken from all the councilors and the ward councilors also sought a proposal regarding their wards. The mayor said that pumpsets can be resorted to for drainage and raw drain can also be constructed. We can also use Rabish and a piece of brick as per the need. It was decided that water will be drained by making pumping sets and raw sewer within 24 hours from the water logging place. The Mayor said that currently the Municipal Corporation has its own 6 pumping set machine. If required, drainage will be done within 24 hours by taking pumping sets on hire.

During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that all 46 wards were distributed into four parts and monitoring the drainage and road construction by dividing them into four parts. Will go One in-charge will be appointed for each part, who will monitor the ongoing drainage and road repair work in their respective areas. Also, within 24 hours, we will get water drainage from the water logging place and fill the pits. The roads which have been tendered, it was directed to start the construction work as soon as possible, so that the problem of water logging does not arise. During the meeting, many councilors said that most of the vapor lights are spoiled in the rain, which agreed to care and fix.
