She contested the Purnia Lok Sabha election on RJD ticket. Integrain Bharti got 10968 votes in Rupauli Legislative Assembly, Independent Pappu Yadav got 72795 and Santosh Kushwaha of JDU got 97469 votes. Has got 64,324 votes, LJP’s Shankar Singh got 44,994 votes and Vikas Chandra Mandal of CPI got 41,963 votes.
