Preparation to rob consumers through smart meters: After the balance of jeer, the message will be given to the department for 10 rupees, the proposal filed in the commission

Power Corporation is preparing to secret consumers in a smart meter case. After installing the smart meter, when the balance will be zero and then the message will be sent from the department. 10 rupees will be charged for that message. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Consumer Council has described this report filed in the Commission of Power Corporation. Council Chairman Avdhsh Verma said that in Section 56 of the Electricity Act 2003, there is a rule of 15 days written notice before cutting the connection on the arrears of any consumer. In such a situation, there is no point in charging the message 10 rupees.

50 rupees separate charge of disconnection

other than this if any connection is cut. Smart prepaid meter reconciliation or disconnection is yet to be charged. 50 rupees will also be charged for that. In such a situation, it is an attempt to rob consumers. He said that it is very different to make prepaid meters mandatory. From July 8, the proposal to increase the electricity bill will be discussed in the Commission. 3 crore 25 lakh people will have to be installed in the effect. At present, there are around 3 crore 25 lakh consumers. All people have smart prepaid here. In such a situation, if this rule has been implemented, all the consumers of the state will be expensive. The UP State Consumer Council opposed any such rules. Awadhesh Verma says that Power Corporation should also have knowledge that when fees are paid on recovery and disconnection in case of postpaid because the department has to take and add connections by taking the ladder. It takes a manpower. But nothing has to be done in the online system.
