Recognition of two schools in Bhind suspended: Collector also took action on St. Michael and Jai Mahakal Public School, also handed over notices

Bhind Collector has suspended the recognition of both schools for not following the rules of governance by two schools in Bhind district. Its fellow has also given notice to the management of both schools. Until a satisfactory response to the notice given by the Collector, this recognition

Collector Sanjeev Srivastava has given notice for violating the Right to Children’s Rights Act free and compulsory Child Education. This notice has been given to Sent Michael School, Kiratpura and Jai Mahakal Public School.

Collector Mr. Srivastava said in the order issued that on 27 June 2024, the investigation of Sent Michael School, Kiratpura Bhind is constituted by the Collector On being done by the committee, it was found that 13 books have been fixed by the school in classes 1 and 2. Out of which 3 books are approved by NCERT and 10 books are being run by other publishers. Thus, due to increase in the number of books, there is a possibility of serious effect in the physical development of the child if the prescribed weight of the bag is more than 2.2 kg. Also, these books are available with the city’s only book seller. On observing the recognition of the school, it was found that there is no information in the column in the column with the information of the books run by the school. On checking the set of class 4 books of Jai Mahakal Public School Akoda in a casual investigation by the book vendor, it was found that the price of 3 books of NCERT in the set is 200 and the books of other publishers include the books whose books are NCERT The set is from the east, the price of Rs 2730. It was also found that the book of Jai Mahakal Public School Akoda is not available with any other book seller. On observing the recognition of the school, it was found that there is no information in the column in the column containing the books operated by the school. Keeping in view the reasons, a notice has been issued to the school operator to cancel the recognition.
