SDM and Health Officer Drink Hot Spot of Drugs and report: DC

Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni has instructed all SDMs to identify hot spots of drugs. DC called for calling 24×7 associate helpline for any help from people dependent on the drug. DC and CP issued necessary instructions by reviewing the measures of NCORD Committee to free Ludhiana. Reviewed the efforts being made by the District Level Committee under the Narco Coordination Center (NCORD). Running 24X7 helpline (0161-42574 57), where they can make any type of call and get help.

The drug will help receive treatment to release drugs. He said that this helpline will provide every assistance to them by ensuring treatment at the nearest de -addiction/OOAT centers. He also asked the SDM and health officials to make a list of hot spot areas where there are a large number of drug dependants. Emphasized the need for plays or other sports activities. He suggested that this campaign against drugs should be converted into mass mobilization which may be helpful in the drug -free district.

CP Kuldeep Singh Chahal also explained in detail about the action initiated against the smuggling of drugs.

DC Sakshi Sahni from the Education Department Asked to create awareness about the harmful effects of drugs in its institutions to make the district a drug -free area. He was also asked to give a calendar of activities related to awareness about drugs among the youth when the institute opened after summer holidays. He was also directed to re -activate friendly groups in his institutions. He ordered the Health Department to organize medical camps in various parts of Ludhiana and broadcast information.
