SGPC protested against stopping a girl wearing a saber

RPSC on Sunday, the case of removing the saber and symbol from the Sikh woman at the Jodhpur Center during the Judicial Examination (RJS). At the exam center, the woman was asked not to take the saber along. When he refused, he did not allow him to give the exam. The woman’s father has said to fight a legal battle on this matter. At the same time, Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) President of Amritsar, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami protested this and said- This is a big violation of the constitution of the country. Was prevented from going to the center. The girl’s father Baljit Singh has requested Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to intervene in the matter. He has asked to take strict action against the officials. He also demanded from the Chief Minister that special arrangements should be made by the state government to get Sikh candidate Advocate Armaanjot Kaur again. . He said- I strongly condemn the condemnable incident in Jodhpur today. Where a lawyer Armaanjot Kaur was stopped from taking the judicial service examination due to not leaving the saber, which is a part of the Sikh Rehit Maryada. Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) of Amritsar, has described it as a major violation of the constitution of the country. He said- Armaanjot Kaur should take strict legal action against the officials of the examination center preventing the judicial examination including saber. Due to this arbitrary action of these people, the future of a girl is at stake.

Advocate Dhami said that according to the Constitution of India, Sikhs have full right to wear a saber and according to Sikh dignity Amritdhari Sikhs cannot separate five Sikhs from their bodies. He told the Shiromani Committee that his daughter went to Jodhpur to take competitive examination for Rajasthan judicial service. The center of the examination was at PLV College in Shikargarh, Jodhpur. Where the authorities asked him to take off the saber to enter the center. The daughter objected to this and did not lift the saber, so she was deprived of taking the exam.

Baljit Singh also told that a petition has been filed in Rajasthan High Court Jodhpur in this matter and justice A legal battle will be fought for. Baljit Singh said that his daughter should get justice so that there is no such discrimination with anyone else in future. Advocate Armaanjot Kaur is currently practicing in Punjab and Haryana High Court.
