Tank fell into the storm; Tap water is not available in Chauragaon for 2 months, people upset

Charagaon Panchayat of Block, Jtwari Yadav Tola, a number ward, has closed tap water for the last 2 months. The villagers of the ward are facing a lot of problems due to the closure of tap water in the scorching heat. The villagers have to bring a lot of effort from the Chapa tap located in Bhole Baba place in the Chaur Bahiyar outside the village. About 1000 population of the ward is harassing the need of their drinking water in the morning and evening with the help of two chapanal.

Rural Manju Devi, Bichhiya Devi, Gaurav Kumar, Suresh Yadav, Sudin More than two dozen villagers, including Yadav, Sarjun Yadav, Shambhu Yadav, Chunchun Yadav, Vikas Yadav, Mausam Yadav, said that in the month of April, tap water was closed due to damage of tap motor in the month of April. After that, in the strong thunderstorm on May 8, both the tank of the water tower fell down and was badly damaged. Due to which the tap water service has been completely closed for the last two months. We are in two chapanals located in the village in which Bhola Baba is half a kilometer from a village. Due to which somehow drinking water needs are being met amid heavy problems. In the morning and evening, we have to spend time for hours in water. Whereas, their cattle have to be taken to Dhobali Pokhar, a kilometer outside the village, to feed them. Further, the villagers said that since last April, the officials of PHED Department and Block Office have been informing them about the severe problem of tap-water. The officials of the department and the block have not taken any action towards solving the problem by talking about the election code of conduct. In this regard, Assistant Engineer of the department Dharampal said that boring has failed due to technical reasons for ward number one Uttari Tola.
