Three new criminal laws were implemented on the first day

These Indian Penal Association (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) and Indian Evidence Act will be replaced. He said that the provisions given in the new laws set a fixed time limit for each action. An FIR will have to be lodged within 3 days of receiving the complaint. In the cases where there is a provision of punishment of 3 to 7 years, in those cases, the police station in -charge, DSP or senior officer will be able to conduct a preliminary investigation within 14 days before registering an FIR. He informed that an FIR will have to be filed after preliminary investigation. After registering the FIR, the victim will be provided information about the progress of the case by SMS or other electronics mediums within 90 days. In the new law, if the imprisonment of small crimes, which is less than 3 years of age, if the accused is over 60 years of age, then it will be mandatory to get the permission of the Deputy Superintendent of Police or a senior officer for his arrest. Zero FIR will be lodged without considering the scene on the information of serious crime.

Investigation in cases of rape and Pasco Act will have to be completed within two months. The Superintendent of Police said that under the new law, the victim would have the right to regularly get information on the progress of his case within 90 days. Apart from this, it will be mandatory to conduct videography during the process of search or seizure. The police organized a program in each police station of the police district and informed about the three new criminal laws to the people of sarpanches, panches, villages and city.
