Multan Singh and Suresh Singh, who hail from Panipat, came with their family to bathe in the Yamuna River near the Yamuna Bridge to commemorate Ganga Dussehra. Here in his family, Suresh Pal’s girl Sneha (13) and Multan Singh’s girl Ashu (18) drowned in the Yamuna river while taking bath.

After the incident, the family took out both the girls after a lot of effort. . Admitted to Kairana Government Hospital with the help of police personnel posted at Yamuna Bridge Outpost. The doctor, who reached the spot here, declared both the girls dead.

On the day of Ganga Dussehra, people of UP Haryana come and bathe in thousands. Keeping in mind the festival of Ganga Dussehra, neither police were arranged for any security at the bathing site by the administration of the district, nor was the diver arrangements to save the baths.
