Flower shop operator Rahul Verma said that the flower which was available for 40 to 50 rupees kg is currently available for 100 to 150 rupees a kg. 5 kg marigold flowers were first available for 30 to 40 rupees kg, the same marigold flowers are getting 80 to 100 kg today. The desi rose which gets 50 rupees kg is being sold today from 125 to 160 rupees per kg. Currently, the new variety of roses is the highest demand for divine roses. The condition of divine roses available for 100 to 150 rupees is that it is being sold above 250 to 300 rupees.

The reason for this is that the farmers have sold their land, where the colonies have now developed. According to information received from the Hapics system of the Harticulture Department, the area under flower cultivation in Indore was 4 thousand 768 hectares which increased to 4 thousand 825 hectares in 2023-24. Even after increasing 57 hectares of acreage in Indore compared to last year, traders say that the area of ​​farming has definitely increased but the production has reduced compared to it.
