The Supreme Court strongly reprimanded a female lawyer, Deepa Joseph. He had written a derogatory post on Facebook against the woman who had accused Kerala Congress MLA Rahul Mamkoottathil of rape. The court refused to hear his petition and asked him to go to the High Court. The bench expressed displeasure over the conduct of the lawyer, especially being a woman and using such language towards another woman.

Mahila police station SHO Jyoti Nayak died in a collision between a police van and a car in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan.
