Due to the influence of Purushottam month, Magh Mela of Prayagraj will last for 50 days in the year 2027, which will be held from 15 January to 6 March. Kalpavas in this fair, which starts from Makar Sankranti and continues till Mahashivratri, will start from January 22. According to Acharya Devendra Prasad Tripathi, Purushottam month comes after about three years, due to which the dates of festivals get extended and auspicious works remain prohibited.
