The administration launched a big campaign against encroachment in Dekuli Dham of Shivhar. During this period, dozens of unpaved shops and kiosks built on the National Highway land were demolished with bulldozers. The shopkeepers alleged that the action was taken without notice, while the administration claimed to have given prior information. Due to this action taken before the Mahashivratri fair, shopkeepers have suffered huge losses, due to which they are angry.

Grant Will Be Given For Spraying Mango-litchi-guava Trees In Bhagalpur, Farmers Will Get Benefit On First Come-first Serve Basis.

To increase fruit production in Bhagalpur, the Plant Protection Department has started a grant scheme for spraying pesticides on mango, litchi and guava trees. Farmers will get subsidy on pre- and post-harvest spraying, which will lead to pest control and quality improvement. Registration on the DBT portal is mandatory to avail the benefits of the scheme, and it will be given on 'first come, first served' basis.

Shock To Ayushman Card Scheme In UP, Only 24,000 Out Of 14 Lakh Operators Are Working; 89,000 Is Not Crazy

In Uttar Pradesh, 89,791 operators have been found inactive under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, due to which the process of making Ayushman cards is being disrupted. According to the report, out of the total 1.14 lakh operator IDs, only 24,762 are active. The government has instructed the CMOs of all the districts to activate the inactive operators and run a special campaign to make cards of the beneficiaries.

Theft In Smart Meter Also, Raid In Welding Shop In Case Of Meter Bypass In East Champaran

The Electricity Department has increased strictness to stop electricity theft in Motihari, East Champaran. Continuous raids are being conducted against those who bypass smart meters and use illegal electricity. A case of meter bypass was detected by raiding a welding shop in Belbanwa, on which a fine of ₹ 72,335 was imposed and an FIR was registered. Illegal connection found in Shri Krishna Nagar also. Ten such cases have been registered in Motihari this month.

Recognition Of Thousands Of Private Schools In Haryana May Be Cancelled: Allegation Of RTE Violation, Directorate Of Education Warned

Haryana Education Department had imposed fine on 1970 private schools for not admitting poor children under RTE and not uploading documents. Most of the schools did not pay the fine. Now the Directorate of Basic Education has warned of cancellation of recognition if payment is not made by February 17. School operators are protesting against the fine, accusing the department of not providing information and calling it injustice.
