Jagseer Singh Saba, who shot himself after shooting his wife and son in Bajidpur village of Firozpur, died during treatment in a hospital in Ludhiana. His wife Navneet Kaur and four-year-old son Warisdeep Singh are seriously injured. Police are investigating the reasons for the incident. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the family.

In view of Mahashivratri and Magh Mela, traffic route diversion has been implemented for heavy and medium goods vehicles in Rae Bareli district. This arrangement will remain effective till 12 midnight on Sunday. Alternative routes have been fixed for vehicles coming from Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Rewa and Dalmau.
