A 45-year-old middle-aged man from Dariapur village near Sarobag Railway Gumti in Dharhara police station area committed suicide by coming under a train on Friday morning. The incident spread sensation in the area. As soon as the information was received, the Railway Police (GRP) started investigating the matter.
According to the information, Jamalpur-Kiul passenger stopped for some time at Sarobagh halt at around 5 am on Friday morning. Meanwhile, a person suddenly reached the railway track and met with an accident while the train was moving, due to which he died on the spot.
Villagers ran away with the dead body
After the incident, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the station and surrounding areas. A crowd of people gathered for some time. In this regard, GRP police station incharge Swaraj Kumar said that after receiving the information, the police team reached the spot, but there was no body there.
The villagers took the dead body with them. The police is now trying to identify the people who took the dead body. Besides, the identity of the deceased and the reasons for suicide are also being investigated.
According to the local people, the middle-aged man is said to be a resident of Dariyapur village, although his formal confirmation has not been made yet. Police say that investigation is being done on all aspects. After identification, the reasons behind the incident will be ascertained by interrogating the family members.
