Kaithal Police has arrested another accused Sukhjeet in the case of cyber fraud of Rs 80 thousand in the name of sending money to Kuwait. The victim Sonu contacted after seeing an advertisement on Facebook, after which he was cheated of money on the pretext of fake offer letter and medical. Three accused have already been arrested in this case. The police have sent the accused to judicial custody.
A young man named Pankaj Sharma attempted suicide by swallowing poisonous substance at Old Faridabad police station in Faridabad. The police had called him for questioning. According to his wife, he had borrowed Rs 2 lakh from a woman named Manju, of which he had returned Rs 1 lakh. Police had called Pankaj on Manju's complaint. The condition of the young man remains critical.
Anil 39, a mason, died suddenly due to deteriorating health while working in Bilawal village of Charkhi Dadri. Police have registered a case of accidental death, the cause of death will be clear from the post mortem report.
A delivery boy, Manjeet, was kidnapped for money transaction in Khedkidaula police station area in Gurugram. The accused, who came in two vehicles, forcibly took him away after a fight. On the complaint of his friend, the police took action within 15 minutes and caught the vehicle from SPR Road and rescued Manjeet. Police have arrested two accused named Jabir and Aman, who have accused Manjeet of stealing Rs 6.5 lakh.
The Mid Day Meal Workers Union in Jind has announced to join the nationwide strike on February 12. He handed over the notice to the District Basic Education Officer office. The Haryana government has given permission to the State Election Commission to conduct elections in seven urban bodies including Panchkula, Ambala and Sonipat. Re-verification of income of BPL card holders will start in Faridabad. The authenticity of the income recorded in the family identity card will be checked, because many ineligible people are availing the benefits of the schemes by fraudulently showing low income. The district administration will form committees of three members each. Last year too, 6433 people were excluded from BPL category in the investigation. This time too, thousands of ineligible candidates are likely to be left out, and action may be taken if found fake.
In Faridabad's Dabua Colony, a mobile shopkeeper, Nand Kishore, was beaten badly with rods and sticks by youths riding in a car for asking for a loan of Rs 500. An injured cobra snake was found hiding in a bush in Sultanpur village of Hisar. Snakeman Gaurav rescued him and took him to Luvas Clinic. Dr. Ramniwas performed a two and a half hour surgery and placed 10 stitches on the snake's deep wounds. The 4 feet long snake will now have to rest for 14 days. Apart from this incident, Gaurav also rescued four other snakes and released them into the forest. The snake's life was saved by timely treatment.
The demand for developing metro corridor along Dwarka Expressway has intensified. Dwarka Expressway Gurugram Development Association sent a memorandum with 6000 signatures to Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh. This demand has arisen due to increasing population and traffic pressure in old Gurugram. The association has prepared a report of 192 pages and submitted it to the minister. 32-year-old Sompal of Khanda village of Aleva died during treatment at Rohtak PGI. On February 13, he had consumed pesticide after drinking alcohol in the field, due to which his health deteriorated. He was first referred to Civil Hospital and then to PGI Rohtak, where he died on Sunday night. The police recorded the statement of the elder brother and conducted the post-mortem of the body.
A truck filled with the skins of dead cows from Hisar was caught in Rampur, UP, after which the Special Operation Group team of UP Police reached Hisar for investigation. The team took documents related to the contract for lifting dead animals from the Municipal Corporation and inspected Haddarodhi and cow sheds. These skins were being sent to Calcutta and Jalandhar. The investigation revealed information about the contractor and the work order.
Vikas alias Vicky, 27, resident of Salhawas, died in a road accident on Sunday night on Dhakala-Kasni road in Jhajjar. When a Nilgai suddenly appeared in front of the car, it went out of control and overturned in the swamp. Vikas died due to drowning and injuries, while his two friends survived. The police have conducted the post-mortem of the dead body and registered a coincidental action. Vikas has a seven month old daughter.

A PIL has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the system of giving 'raw slips' to farmers. Former scientist Dr. Virendra Singh Lather has alleged that due to this, farmers are being financially exploited by paying them less than the minimum support price. The petition demands a ban on this system, issuance of printed receipts, 24-hour helpline and immediate issuance of 'J-Form'. The High Court will hear on January 27.
