Re-checking Of Income Of BPL Card Holders In Faridabad, Thousands Of Ineligible People Will Be Punished.

Scrutiny of income of BPL card holders is going to start once again.

Jagran correspondent, Faridabad. Scrutiny of income of BPL card holders i.e. those living below the poverty line is going to start once again. It will be seen whether the income recorded by the BPL cardholders in the Parivar Pehchan Patra is equal to or more than that. A separate three-member committee will be formed by the district administration for this investigation.

Remember, the income of these cardholders was also examined last year. Due to which 6433 people in the district were left out of BPL category. Now after the fresh investigation, thousands of cardholders are likely to be locked out. It has been revealed that many cardholders have fraudulently declared their income as less than Rs 1.80 lakh.

In this, the collusion of the common service centre, depot holder and administrative staff cannot be ruled out. A large number of cards have been created that are not eligible. These cardholders have all the facilities from car to other facilities, yet they are availing the facilities under the category and taking ration every month.

If the investigation is found to be fake, action can also be taken against them. Last year there were 2 lakh 71 thousand 168 BPL cardholders in the district. After investigation in October, the number of cardholders has come down to 2 lakh 64 thousand 735. Ayushman cards of all of them have also been made and they are getting government ration from the depot.

The crowd is continuously increasing

Due to the greed for the facilities available to BPL card holders, even resourceful people are trying hard to come under this category. This card can be made only for those people whose annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Now many people living in the same family have made different cards so that their income can be reduced. Not only this, many people have got cards of this category made by paying bribes. In reality, the characters are getting pushed.

On Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon, the District Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner listen to the problems of the people in the Samadhan Camp. Among these, most of the complaints are regarding reducing the income in the family identity card. Not only this, hundreds of people are standing in line outside the Family Identity Card Center located in Sector-12.

All of them are roaming here to reduce their income. Therefore, the government is now investigating who is actually eligible. Neeraj Sharma, in-charge of the Family Identity Card Center, said that the verification of the income of the cardholders is about to start.

Those who are eligible must get the facilities provided under BPL category. But it has come to light that many ineligible people have also joined this category. They are getting them investigated. Those whose income will be more than Rs 1.80 lakh will be excluded from the category. - Rajesh Nagar, Food and Supplies Minister
