Traffic Diversion For Mahashivratri, No Entry Of Heavy Vehicles From Here Towards Bithoor From 12 To 16

Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. Due to Mahashivratri festival, the traffic police has implemented diversion system for heavy vehicles in Bithoor area from 12th to 16th February. The system will be in force from 8 am to midnight on February 16. Meeting held regarding amazing Shiva procession

On Wednesday, DCP South Deependra Nath Choudhary, ADCP Yogesh Kumar, ACP Krishnakant, SDM Abichal Pratap Singh and EO Dr. Mahendra Kumar held a meeting with the organizers and city residents in the Ghatampur Kotwali complex regarding the wonderful Shivbaraat to be held on the occasion of Mahashivratri on 15th February. During this, the officials took information regarding the journey and also inspected the route.

Various points including security, traffic, crowd control, cleanliness were discussed in the meeting. Pootu Pandey, the chief organizer of the Shivbaraat program, who reached the meeting, said that ballast and mortar were lying at many places on the yatra route. Along with this, many trees need pruning. At the same time, BJP leaders Vijay Sachan, Sandeep Sachan, councilors Guddu Pandit, Satyam Chauhan, Ramu Pandit, business leader Manoj Parmar also gave information regarding the organization of Shiv Baraat.

Preparation for the procession like this

Suresh Soni, Kamlesh Trivedi, Umesh Dwivedi told that this program is organized without any committee and the people of the city participate in it enthusiastically. The Yatra starts from Bihareshwar Temple located on Old Hospital Road and goes to Kushmanda Mata Temple. After this, a procession takes place in various routes of the city. Diversion was also discussed in the meeting. There are preparations to divert big vehicles from Naubasta on Kanpur Road and Anupur on Hamirpur Road.

Officials inspected the route on foot

After the meeting, all the officers including DCP South inspected the route of Shiv Baraat on foot. Sensitive places were identified. The venue of the program at Kushmanda Devi Temple was also inspected. The DCP said that people should not be allowed to sit on the temple and surrounding rooftops. At the same time, ADCP and ACP also visited the places of events to be held on the festival of Shivratri in Reuna Sadh, Sajeti.
