Snow Storm Warning In 8 Districts Including Kullu, Shimla And Chamba, Water, Electricity And Connectivity Will Be Affected.

After three months of drought in Himachal Pradesh, the weather suddenly changed and there was heavy snowfall. The first snowfall of this season was recorded in the higher reaches including Manali. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of snow storm in Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur. This may affect essential services like electricity, water and communication. The administration has advised people to exercise caution.

Himachal Panchayat Chunav: Election Commission Issued Letter On Reservation Roster And Voter Lists, Relaxation In Section 12.1

Himachal Pradesh State Election Commission has given relaxation in Section 12.1 for reorganization of Panchayats and urban bodies. The restructuring process and reservation roster will be completed by February 28. Voter lists of areas where there is no change will be published by January 30. There are instructions to conduct Panchayat elections before April 30. Changes are expected in about 175 panchayats, and proposals for 32 new panchayats are with the government.

Himachal: Monitoring Cell Will Be Formed In The Directorate To Monitor CBSE Schools, Fee Structure May Be Different.

130 government schools in Himachal Pradesh have got CBSE affiliation. To monitor these, a monitoring cell called 'Edutrack-360 Degree' will be formed, which will conduct monthly reviews. The fee structure has not been decided yet, but the idea is to keep it minimal. No teacher post will remain vacant in these schools, new professional subjects will be started and the color and dress code of the buildings will be different. Teachers will be appointed on the basis of student-teacher ratio.
