This action has been taken after five children fell ill in December. Drug Inspector Pyar Chand Thakur said that 94,400 tablets of batch number TAF 25006S have been seized. He said that in this context, a case will be registered against the pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Palghar, Maharashtra.

Iron folic acid tablets were distributed in a school in Noorpur area on December 24. After this, five children suddenly developed stomach problems and had to be admitted to hospitals in Noorpur and Pathankot. After this incident, the drug inspector confiscated the entire batch.
CMO ordered to stop distribution
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vivek Karol said that after receiving the laboratory report, all senior medical officers and block medical officers of the district have been instructed to stop the distribution of pills of this batch.
Medicine is given to pregnant women with children
He said that the drug inspector has been instructed to collect samples of this batch of pills from other health institutions and send them for laboratory testing.
