The victim told that the sisters of the accused entered her house, beat her up and threatened to kill her if the case was not withdrawn. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and started investigation. The victim told that on March 13, 2024, Lalit, a youth from the same village, had taken her to a hotel, made her drink intoxicants, raped her and made an obscene video of her. The accused blackmailed by threatening to broadcast the video on internet media. The accused tried to rape her by taking her to his friend's house in the village itself. The victim escaped and reached home and told her mother. When the victim's mother reached there with a complaint, the accused's family also beat her up and threatened to kill her if she took any action. The victim alleges that despite the complaint, the police registered a case of molestation and assault instead of rape. Despite the CO's investigation and the victim's statement in the court, the police did not increase the section of rape in the case nor arrested the accused. Due to this, on Thursday, the accused's sister Baby and Mausam forcibly entered the house and abused him and beat him up. When the case was not withdrawn, he kicked and punched the victim and tried to kill her by strangulating her with a chunni. Hearing the screams of the victim, the nearby people reached there and both the sisters left, threatening to kill them if the case registered against Lalit was not withdrawn. The victim alleged that there was a threat to her life and demanded strict action. Kotwali Dehat in-charge Sube Singh said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against two girls in the case. Action will be taken after investigation. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused Lalit.-----Vishwa Pratap
