For the third day on Wednesday, there was a heated argument between the party and the opposition over the resolution brought in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly to stop the revenue deficit grant. Opposition MLAs said in one voice that when the MLA fund is closed and development is at a standstill, then why should RDG go to Delhi for restoration. During this time, the government ministers and Congress MLAs unitedly demanded that in the interest of Himachal, rising above party politics, they are ready to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur.
Why should Jairam go to Delhi: Janak
BJP MLA from Bharmour, Dr. Janak Raj said that the manifesto that was made was made after asking him why Jairam Thakur would go. He said that this resolution is being made to cover up the economic failure and for political gains. This is the result of the failure of the previous Congress governments. He said that the Central Government is not bound to fulfill your impractical announcements. The Finance Commission has from time to time talked about reducing the RDG. He said that this is the situation when the government is adamant.
Opposition should clarify its stand: Anirudh
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said that the opposition should clarify their stand whether they are in favor or against the closure of RDG. This is a matter of rights and self-respect of Himachal. He said that due to closure of RDG, development work will be affected, debt burden will increase and employment will be affected. Regarding MNREGA, he said that earlier 100 percent central assistance was given, now 90 percent is given, which will increase the financial burden. He stressed the need for special financial assistance in view of the geographical conditions of the state.
No financial assistance received for last three years
BJP MLA Lokendra Kumar said that no financial assistance has been given for the last three years. MLA fund is closed. An amount worth lakhs was released to save a man's house in the disaster, but the money has still not been received in his area. He raised the question that when nothing had been done, why should he go?

Congress MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary said that earlier an attempt was made to topple the government through horse-trading, now an attempt is being made to topple the government through financial disaster. He said that the closure of RDG will affect the entire economy. The central team estimated the loss of Rs 9200 crore in the disaster of 2023, but despite this nothing was found. He accused him of making recommendations against the Constitution.
BJP is unable to accept that it is out of power.
Congress MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that the achievements of the government were counted. BJP is not able to accept that the public ousted them from power. The previous government erected structures which are still vacant today. Today he is being accused of financial mismanagement. The Center has caused harm to gardeners and farmers by making trade agreements.
