Dialogue partner, Aleva. 32-year-old Sompal of Khanda village died during treatment at Rohtak PGI. Sompal had consumed poisonous substance on 13 February. Aleva police station conducted post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the relatives.
Sukhbir, Sompal's elder brother, told the police that on January 13, Sompal had gone to the fields, where he consumed pesticide after drinking alcohol. After returning home in the evening, his health deteriorated.
He was admitted to the civil hospital, but seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to PGI Rohtak. During treatment there, Sompal died on Sunday night. Investigating sub-inspector Subhash said that the police has recorded the statement of the elder brother of the deceased and got the post-mortem done on the body.
