Two-day Skill Development Workshop In UP Today, Team From Seven States Will Give Training To Youth

State Bureau, Lucknow. Taking initiative towards making rural youth self-reliant, a two-day regional workshop is being organized by Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission on 16th and 17th February at Hotel Centrum, Lucknow.

Officials from Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar and Jharkhand along with Uttar Pradesh will participate in the workshop organized under the guidance of the Ministry of Rural Development.

Its main objective is to formulate a strategy to effectively implement the next phase of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gramin Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY 2.0).

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that the annual action plan will be discussed in the meeting. Also, targets for skill training will be set.

It will also be decided what could be the best model to connect the youth with employment after training. Rural youth should not only get training but also opportunities for permanent employment and self-employment.
