On Monday morning, when he gathered courage and informed his colleagues about the incident, Naford officials came into action. At 9:54 am, Naford posted the entire incident on his X handle and tagged the Chief Minister, Health Minister and senior police officials. After this, the police swung into action and registered a case and caught the accused within three hours.
Scared by the incident, the doctor reached the hostel with her companion. She remained in fear and terror throughout the night. He feared that the accused might follow him to the hostel. Naford officials immediately became active after getting information about the matter on Monday morning.
The incident was posted by Naford's official X handle at 9:54 am. The post tagged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Health Minister, UP Police, ADG Zone, DIG Range Gorakhpur and Gorakhpur Police and demanded immediate action.
As soon as the matter came to notice, there was a stir in the police department. DIG Dr. S. Chanappa and SSP Dr. Kaustubh ordered immediate investigation. When the police took information from AIIMS police station, they found out that no such complaint had been registered. AIIMS administration also denied knowledge of the incident.
After this, the police team directly reached the AIIMS campus and talked to the victim doctor and he told the entire incident. As soon as the case was registered, the AIIMS police station and crime branch team started searching for the accused. The doctor told the exact time of the incident.
After this, the police started scanning the footage of CC cameras from Orion Mall to AIIMS Gate Number 2. With the help of technical analysis and footage, the three accused were identified. After this, four police teams were formed which raided different places.

Within just three hours, raids were conducted in Gorakhpur and Deoria and the accused were arrested. In the evening DIG Range and SSP themselves reached AIIMS. He met the director of AIIMS and talked to the victim doctor. The officials assured security as well as taking strict action against the accused. Questions raised on security arrangements: This incident has once again raised questions on the safety of women in the city, especially the safety of girl students studying in medical institutions. It is a matter of concern that such an incident happens to a student right outside the gates of a prestigious institute like AIIMS. Police have claimed to increase surveillance in AIIMS and its surrounding areas.
