Samvad Sutra, Obra (Aurangabad). The government is trying to improve the condition of schools. The shortage of teachers is being addressed, but lack of resources still persists. There is no road available to go to school, due to which boys and girls reach school with the help of rams.
During the rainy season, traffic through Mead stops. This is the situation of primary school Gamhariya of Obra block. The distance of the school from the main road is about 600 meters. Students and teachers reach school with the help of this ram.
Everyone is aware of the problem, but no one made an effort to make way to the school. Classes one to five are taught in the school. According to villagers, the school was established in 1960, when Suraj Singh of the village donated land for it.
Principal Dayanand Kumar said that the school has one acre of land, but the road has not been constructed. During rainy days, children somehow reach school after falling down the hill.
The number of students enrolled in the school is 52, out of which 30 to 40 students come daily. There are four rooms in the school, but transportation becomes difficult when it is filled with water during the rainy season.
Due to lack of access, most of the villagers do not enroll their children. If the path is made, the number of children will increase. There is also a polling center in the school during Panchayat elections. Students of five classes receive education in four rooms.
