Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The city residents will soon be freed from the terror of stray dogs. For this, arrangements will be made for Kanji House (a place to keep stray animals). Municipal Commissioner Shubham Kumar has directed to identify a place for this.
The health branch in-charge of the corporation and the assistant public sanitation officer have been deployed for this work. The agency will do the work of catching stray dogs. It has been asked to prepare an action plan for its selection. Instructions have been given to select the outsourcing agency for the operation of Kanji House within a week. It was told that there is Municipal Corporation land in Ward 2 of Nathnagar and Piparpanti. Discussions are going on to build Kanji House at one of these places.

Tender will be issued soon for selection of outsourcing agency. The agency working on the basis of standards will be selected. After which the stray dogs will be vaccinated through the agency. The agency will catch the dogs and take them to Kanji House and arrange food for them. So that the cattle roaming in the city can be kept safe and they do not suffer. Not only this, a place will also be marked for feeding dogs at the ward level. So that dog lovers can deliver food to that place. Following the instructions of the court, the Municipal Corporation has come into action.

There is an abundance of stray animals in urban areas. Day or night, people are getting injured every day due to stray animals. Most of the problems are being caused by dogs and bulls. They attack people walking on the road at any time. More than five cases of dog bites are being reported every day. After which the injured has to go to JLNMCH or Sadar Hospital for treatment.
