It is alleged that after marriage, her husband Sumit Kumar, mother-in-law Geeta Devi, father-in-law Naresh Singh and brother-in-law Amit Kumar started harassing her physically and mentally, demanding additional dowry of Rs 5 lakh. According to the victim, she was repeatedly pressurized to bring money from her maternal home and when she refused, she was abused and beaten. Many times he was locked in a room and tortured.

Archana Kumari has also alleged that on February 13, 2026, her husband remarried and brought another woman home. After this, a conspiracy is being hatched to throw him and his son out of the house. The complaint also states that Naresh Singh's brother Devendra Singh came home, showed a pistol and threatened to kill him and leave the house.

Mahila Police Station President said that after receiving the application, investigation into the matter has been started.
