There Will Be No Water Supply In Indore For The Next Three Days, Municipal Corporation Will Take Shutdown To Change The Narmada Line.

Digital Desk, Indore. The Municipal Corporation is going to take a mega shutdown of 48 hours from February 19 for important improvement works related to the Narmada Project in the city. The old damaged pipeline of 1200 mm diameter will be replaced by a new line at Wachu Point. Due to this, water supply will be disrupted in many parts of the city on 19, 20 and 21 February.

According to Municipal Corporation water works in-charge Bablu Sharma, the old pipeline had recently suffered serious damage, due to which a large amount of water was being wasted. Complete replacement of the line became necessary to permanently stop the leakage and restore the supply system. The shutdown will be effective from the morning of February 19. During this period all the pumps of first and second stage will remain closed. Instructions have been issued to supply water through tankers in the affected areas.

Due to closure of Narmada first and second phase pipelines, there will be no direct water supply in Annapurna Tank and Bilawali Tank areas on 19th and 20th February.

On 20th and 21st February, the tanks of Annapurna, Chhatribagh, Rajmohalla, MOG Line, Lokmanya Nagar, Dravid Nagar, Maharana Pratap Nagar, Jinsi Haat Maidan, Narwal, Tigriya Badshah, Subhash Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Gandhi Hall, Malhar Ashram, Scheme-103, Kushwaha Mohalla, Banganga and Jai Hind Nagar will remain empty, due to which the supply in these areas will be complete. Will be disrupted.

The Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens to store water in advance and use the tanker facility as per requirement. After the mega shutdown, the supply system is claimed to be more smooth than before.
