On Saturday, December 20, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the Metro at Minto Hall. However, the citizens of the city will be able to enjoy the journey in Bhopal Metro from December 21. For city residents, the metro will run on the priority corridor daily from 9 am to 7 pm.
These are the fare rates
This information was given by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited Managing Director (Madhya Pradesh) S. Krishna Chaitanya gave. He said that there are a total of eight stations in the priority corridor of the metro. According to the structure, the fare for one station has been fixed at Rs 20. If passengers travel from three to five stations, they will have to pay Rs 30. At the same time, the fare for traveling from 7.4 kilometer priority corridor Subhash Nagar to AIIMS metro station will be Rs 40.
Metro will run at a speed of 40
The maximum speed of the metro will be 40 kilometers per hour. At present, passengers will not get the facility of online tickets and will have to buy tickets manually. No free travel facility will be provided in the first week. Once the Orange Line is completed, the maximum fare will be Rs 70.
Metro will make 17 trips a day
Talking about operational arrangements, 9 metro trains will be run from AIIMS metro station and 8 metro trains will be run between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS metro station. In each metro with three coaches, about 200-250 passengers will be able to travel in one coach. The metro train will make a total of 17 trips in a day.
Preparation for future driverless metro
According to the MD, there is a plan to run Bhopal Metro without a driver in future, however at present the metro will be operated by the driver only. He also admitted that the work on the 7.4 km long Priority Corridor of the Orange Line was to be completed by July 2025, but the project has been completed with a delay of about six months.
There was no provision for parking in the DPR
MD Chaitanya said that there was no provision for parking in the DPR of Metro. All the metro stations built in Bhopal and Indore are without parking. However, space has been marked for parking 15 to 20 four-wheelers and 30 to 35 two-wheelers near Bhopal Metro station. This work will be completed soon.
Bhopal Metro will run at an interval of 75 minutes
Passengers please note.... Bhopal Metro will run from platform number one of each metro station of the Priority Corridor. A metro train will take 25 minutes to cover the distance from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar metro station. Metro management has released the timetable for running the metro. According to this, Bhopal Metro train will run from both the places at an interval of 75 minutes. Each station will have the capacity to stand for 500 passengers.

-The first metro train will leave from AIIMS metro station at 9 am. Which will reach Subhash Nagar metro station at 9.25 am. - The last metro train will leave from AIIMS metro station at 7 pm. Which will reach Subhash Nagar metro station at 7.25 pm.- The first metro train will leave from Subhash Nagar metro station at 9.40 am. Which will reach AIIMS metro station at 10.05 am. - The last metro train will leave from Subhash Nagar metro station at 6.25 pm. Which will reach AIIMS metro station at 6.50 pm.
