Not 66 but 75 passengers were injured in the Sirmaur bus accident.

Jagran correspondent, Nahan. A big update has come regarding the bus accident that took place on Friday evening in Haripurdhar of Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh. There were said to be 66 passengers in the bus, but this figure was wrong. There were not 66 but 75 passengers in the 39 seater bus. Due to the chaos at the time of the accident, the administration could not get information about the exact number of passengers on Friday. Late in the night, when the district administration collected information about the injured in Nahan, Dadahu, Sangrah, Rajgarh, Solan and Shimla hospitals, and when immediate relief was distributed, information was received about all the people traveling in the bus at the time of the accident. Which was made available to the media by Sirmaur district administration on Saturday afternoon.

14 died and 61 under treatment

There were 75 passengers present in the bus at the time of the accident, out of which 14 people had died till Friday night and 61 people are undergoing treatment in different hospitals.

Four seriously injured referred to PGI

Among the injured, four are undergoing treatment in PGI, 7 in MMU Sultanpur, two in IGMC Shimla, 17 in Medical College Nahan, 13 in Rajgarh and 18 in Solan. On Friday evening, Dr YS Parmar Medical College took 20 injured passengers to Nahan, out of which three serious passengers were referred to PGI Chandigarh late in the night.

20 injured taken to Rajgarh

A passenger who was brought to Civil Hospital Sangrah was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning after first aid. 20 passengers were taken to Civil Hospital Rajgarh. Out of which, late in the night, 7 seriously injured passengers were referred to MMU Sultanpur and one to PGI Chandigarh.

PGI and IGMC with serious head injury

20 injured passengers were brought to the Regional Hospital, Solan, from where two seriously injured were referred to IGMC Shimla late in the night. The patients referred to IGMC Shimla and PGI Chandigarh suffered serious head injuries. Whose condition is still said to be critical.

Nine dead in Shimla

Among those who died in the bus accident, 9 passengers were from Kupvi tehsil of Shimla district, four from Sirmaur district and one woman from Karsog tehsil of Mandi district.
